The devices Clemens had implanted were designed to be as simple as possible for cost reasons. This had the disadvantage that it had to be sutured under spinal anaesthesia in a complex microsurgical operation.

The Bimek SLV Model 4 is now technically more complex but very flexible according to the different dimensions of the vas deferens.
The new SLV is a high-tech product made from the best implant materials. Accordingly, setting up and programming the CNC machines is relatively expensive if you only want to produce one pair.
