I have already asked about cases when the device is mounted high and goes through the inguinal canal. But another case that bothers me is when the device is mounted lower – closer to the testicle. Isn’t the risk of twisting/torsion greater then? If the device has to fit in the scrotum when the latter gets smaller (e.g. due to cold) and it doesn’t go through the canal – it will probably try to change its position from vertical to horizontal and push on the testicle. Doesn’t it increase the risk of:

  1. Epididymis damage,
  2. Testicular torsion (ICD-10 N44),
  3. Torsion of the Appendices?
