Hello CS
1. Clemens Bimek can’t tell of any complications so far. When he first got the SLV implanted, he did have complications, what made him develop the next generations of SLVs (you can read that on our blog, he wrote about it). Since he has had implanted the 3 type of SLV, he has never had any problems like switching the valves or anything like that.
2. Since CB has never had any problems with his SLVs, we can’t say, what complications there can be, besides the possible complications after the operation. You’ll find more answers to that in our FAQs.
3. During the clinical trials the volunteers will do several spermiograms to check, if they are sterile, when the SLV is closed and if there are fertile, if it’s open.
4. There will be different groups of volunteers.
5. Currently we are looking for 25 to 50 volunteers.
